Street Dance Telford was started in 2010 by Sarah Gibbons, then only 19 years of age.
Sarah had for many years been dancing and teaching and wanted to provide as many children as possible with the opportunities she had experienced, such as being UK Hip Hop Champion,
competing in LA at the World Hip Hop Championships and performing at X Factor shows.
Sarah had also led several street crews to success as a teacher/choreographer at high profile competitions such as UDO, BDO and Idance.
From humble beginnings of only 5 students in 2010, Sarah has grown Street Dance Telford, with the assistance of sister Laura, and long standing teacher Yasmin Lovatt, into a thriving business where thousands of dancers have passed through over the years. Along with high quality, fun, affordable classes Street Dance Telford offers competition opportunities for all levels of ability.
Over the years Street Dance Telford has gained a portfolio of notable success, and is proud to have won titles such as British Champions, European Champions 4 years in a row, and World Champions on several occasions.
Additionally crews have auditioned for and appeared on many TV shows, such as Got to Dance, Britain’s Got Talent, CBBC Alesha’s street dance stars …….. and Little Big Shots.
Street Dance Telford is a “community” feel organisation where the welfare of the dancers is the top priority, hence all teachers and staff are fully DBS checked, teachers are qualified, dance teachers are insured, and staff members have safeguarding and first aid skills.
